Management TeamDavid Goldsteen, M.D., MBA serves as Chairman and CEO. He is a founder and former Chairman and CEO of Vascular Science, Inc., purchased by St. Jude Medical. He also serves as the Chairman of the board of directors of GliaMed, Inc, an emerging biotech company. He previously served as a board member or controlling shareholder of SurVivaLink, a medical device manufacturer sold to Cardiac Science (NASDAQ:DFIB), and Quantech, Ltd, a medical diagnostics company. From 1988-1993 he served as Vice President of medical affairs for Emergency Services at Health One, a predecessor of Allina Hospitals and Clinics, a diversified health care delivery organization. Dr. Goldsteen is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and received his M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. David Klass, M.D. serves on the board of directors as the Medical Director and Director of Software Logic and is the inventor of the core technology. He has had a long term interest in the logic of pharmacy ordering systems and the relation of these systems to laboratory results and the creation of tools that could mine and combine both systems intelligently. He lives in Chicago. Adam Klass serves as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Product Development. He has been responsible for architecting, developing and project managing many large scale applications from inception to completion, including the VigiLanz suite of products. He has expertise in the latest Microsoft .NET technologies, XML, and several relational database and reporting systems. He previously held positions with Software Architects, DaVinci Software, and Red Sky Technologies. Jim Gahlon, Ph.D. serves as Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Gahlon is a vice president of Global Capital Investments. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Illinois and is a certified public accountant. Over his 30-year college teaching career, he has taught corporate finance in the College of Business at the University of Illinois, the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and the Graduate School of Business at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Jeff Zalasky, J.D. serves as General Counsel for VigiLanz and is a member of the board of directors. He is a vice president of Global Capital Investments, LLC. He received his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He served on the board of Vascular Science, Inc. prior to its acquisition by St. Jude Medical in 1999, and he was a board observer for MediaDVX. Craig Leischner serves as Director of Software Development. He has experience with many computing environments from mainframe to Windows, and even a little bit of Unix for good measure. He has architected, designed and led development teams building everything from enterprise web-based systems to Windows client/server systems to applications for hand-held devices. Prior to joining VigiLanz, he worked as a consultant whose clients included companies in healthcare, finance, insurance, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing and information services. |
